new LG420G keeps shutting down

I had an LG420G for years & got black screen in Jan. Bought new LG420G & it keeps shutting down. All I get is black screen. I have gone to friend's house 2 times and called tech. It gets fixed & only lasts a short time & I am back to black screen. I have plenty of minutes and have monthly plan. I am getting disgusted. HELP !

I received the replacement for my defective phone today. I plugged it in & it is fully charged. I tried to activate it but I did something wrong. It is showing my new phone serial # like it is an old phone. Nothing is activated and I know I have lots of minutes to transfer. Help please !
