Have you tried the suggestion earlier in this thread?

I am also having wifi issues. Here is what I have been experiencing. I can access the wifi at my office (which does require a password, and I do know how to enter it) but I can't access my wifi at home. I have tried everything. Today, just for grins, I took my phone to a large office building next door where I knew there were several wifi networks. I chose three at random, all of them saying "Guest". I was able to connect immediately to two of them, but I could not connect to the third one. It gave me the same message that I get at home, authentication failed. Perhaps they expect their guests to use a password? It's possible, and I didn't have one to enter so that may be the reason it didn't work. I am baffled as to why my home network will not connect, since I do seem to be able to connect in other locations. It is a WPA/WPA2 router and I have tried the phone with both settings and get the same error message either way. I have spoken to Tracfone tech support twice and they said they are looking into it and to call back next week. :?

What encryption type? AES or TKIP? (something else?)

My WPA2 network (AES encryption) connects no problem.
