According to the manual to set up email one needs to go to the email icon in the menu and use the set up wizard. Where does one find this email icon?

I saw that too - I think it may have been removed from the phone (?) before it became a Tracfone. I guess in other variations this phone had an email application. I really wish they had kept that email app. There are email apps at GetJar.com - I am still looking for a decent one to use for this phone. I am currently using the Windows Live Hotmail app to check my Hotmail - it works fine.

I wondered about that too. Thanks for the link. This is my first "fancy" phone and it would be nice to have an app to go straight to yahoo email. Anyone outthere who found an app for that?

Yes - there is one at GetJar:

I haven't tried it, but I downloaded it and will install it and try it out. I download the .jar files to my computer, then put them on my phone and then install them from the phone. Saves a few minutes of phone time.

I tried downloading it directly to the phone but the site does not recognize the lg800g, even though I tried it under the other lg number you gave. Can you give me instructions on how to get it from the computer to the phone? Thanks.

What I do is download the .jar files to my computer then put onto the phone and then install. I don't like to burn up minutes going to the sites and downloading - I guess I like to conserve every minute. But I installed the app and it does work great. I installed a micro SD card into my phone, and then I use a USB cable to hook up my phone to my computer to transfer files from computer to the phone. If your computer has Bluetooth you could use that means as well.
