LG800GHL questions

Postby suebaby41 » Mon Jun 06, 2011 11:05 am

On the top of the main screen, there are three icons. One is an E with bars; one is a blue circle with blocks in it; one is a gray circle with something in it. What do these mean or do?

Second question: How do you turn off the annoying "hold this down to unlock"?

The "E" indicates EDGE which is an indication of the data speed for this phone - which happens to be approximately 2.5 G for this phone.

The bars next to the "E" indicate the strength of the data signal - more bars indicate a stronger signal.

The blue circle with blocks in it indicates the main screen (with camera, airtime icon, etc). There is actually another screen that can be displayed - if you "swipe" the main screen (to the left or to the right), you will display another screen, this is a screen that provides you shortcuts to your contacts. That's what the other icon (gray circle with icon in it) indicates. These two icons will slightly change colors as you "swipe" between the two of them - depending on which screen is displaying.

To turn off the "hold this down to unlock" do the following: Settings, Phone, Auto-Lock, and select "Never."
