LG840G won't turn on

LG840G won't turn on

Postby Hoyt » Sun Mar 31, 2013 3:09 pm

I just went through a Tracfone tutorial for the LG840G I had bought yesterday and now it won't turn on anymore. I had gone through the steps for inserting SIM card and inserting battery, and now it's dead. The screen will light up when I attach the charger (it's fully charged). Before doing the tutorial I had managed to get into several functions of the phone.

Thanks, Cherry. Serial number is xxxxxx. Bought yesterday. I've charged it fully twice, once since it stopped working.

I haven't activated it yet as I'm waiting for an answer to my question of whether I could be sure I could master the phone until I made it our main house phone, and then change the telephone number.

Cherry,
Thanks. I sent you a private message in reply to yours (serial number of phone) but don't know if it went through.

On an Amazon LG840G review page someone said they had to use a stylus to turn their phone on and off.
I tried turning mine on with a small screwdriver and it worked. Now it turns on and off just as it should. Thanks.
