turn off browser or move icon

Postby Nursemama » Sun May 27, 2012 11:36 pm

I just read 24 pages of "support" on this forum. You really mean to tell me there is no way to turn off or parental control the internet on my child's new LG500? What kind of company is this? There should at least be a warning on the box!!! Can this phone be returned???? This is horrible!

The menu of the phone appears to have been designed to promote accidental activation of the browser function. This is unacceptable to my elderly parents. Please tell me how to disable the browser function or hide the browser selection.

Hi art. The phone is programmed that way and we cannot disable nor move the browser icon. Thanks!

I would also like to know how to turn on parental controls on the web browser on the LG500 phone. I just bought two for my 10 and 11 year old sons, and need parental controls.

I'm very concerned; I bought 2 phones for my children from Best Buy specifically asking about parental controls. Both phones are Alcatel A392G
Does this mean that the salespeople were completely wrong? That I cannot limit access to the web browser, and that I can not limit calling and texting features to a select few?!
If so... I've spent hours of time talking with salespeople to avoid the exact situation that I'm in. Help!!!
