Auto Refill Not Truly Auto

I have tfone account, smartfone, Srvc Protection Plan, Auto Refill. What can I add, or change to not have to periodically discover I can't use the fone because I have run out of minutes or data and then have to act to refill.

Isn't there a truly automatic refill procedure that will preemptively refill when minutes get low - ie. not waiting for the "refill date"?

Hi Klrdn. I'm TracFone Larry. The TracFone Service Protection Plan will extend your service end date when your phone is about to expire. You can add an airtime plan if you run out of minutes whichever denomination that suits you. If you need further assistance, please check your forum inbox for a message. Klrdn, Check your minutes, texts, data on the day before and screenshot. We have regularly seen Tracfone NOT apply the refill yet charge us for it.
