error:network unavailable and not available bearer

I just got my Samsung T301 and have been trying to open a forwarded picture message, also trying to open my browser. When trying to open the message, I get the message 'not available bearer' and when trying to open the browser get message ' error:network not available" Please assist, Thank you

Thank you. I also searched online and found a code to get into the GPRS [or whatever the letters were] to start up the browser and open pictures. With what you suggested and the code, I was able to get things started. Thanks again
